1994
Expansion of trading business
- Leapco Sdn Bhd (formerly known as EPC Switchgear (M) Sdn Bhd) was incorporated
2000
Manufacturing Arm & First ASTA Certificate
- Leapco Electrical Engineering Sdn Bhd was incorporated to carry out manufacturing activities
- Obtained First ASTA Certificate (Certificate of Short-Circuit Rating) in accordance with IEC 60439-1:1999 for LV switchboards
2001
Relocated Operations to Kampung Jawa Factory
- Relocated operations to a 1½-storey factory in Kampung Jawa, Bayan Lepas (12,206 sq ft built-up / 19,848 sq ft land area)
2005
ASTA Type Tests
- Obtained ASTA Certificates of Type Tests for 3200A and 4000A LV switchboards keeping pace with updated IEC standards
2013
Batu Kawan Land Acquisition
- Acquired 68,652 sq ft of industrial land in Batu Kawan Industrial Park, Seberang Perai, Penang to begin construction of our Batu Kawan Factory
2014
Expanded ASTA Verification Tests
- Obtained ASTA Certificates of Verification Tests for 800A, 1000A, 1200A, 1600A, 2000A, and 2500A LV switchboards
2015
Further Expansion of ASTA Verification Tests
- Obtained ASTA Certificate of Verification Test for 5000A LV switchboards
2017
CIDB G7 & Design Verification Certifications
- Registered as a Grade 7 (G7) Contractor with CIDB
- Obtained Certificates of Design Verification for 100A and 315A LV switchboards, in compliance with relevant IEC standards
2018
ASTA Certificate of Verification Test for 6000A
- Obtained ASTA Certificate of Verification Test for 6000A LV switchboards, the upper limit of maximum amperage defined for LV switchgears
2020
Schneider PIX Easy MR MV Partnership & New Headquarters
- Appointed as Licensed partner by Schneider Electric France to manufacture, test and sell PIX Easy MR MV switchgears in Malaysia
- Relocated headquarters to the newly constructed Batu Kawan Factory, featuring 72,265 sq ft of built-up area for manufacturing and office use
2023
Service Expansion & Schneider WS-G MV Partnership
- Incorporated Trinde to restructure our maintenance and related service offerings
- Expanded our service offerings to include Schneider Electric brand LV switchboards and MV switchgears
- Appointed as Licensed partner by Schneider Electric Malaysia to manufacture, test and sell WS-G MV switchgears in Malaysia
2024
First Data Centre Project & Regional Office Expansion
- Secured First data centre project in the central region
- Established sales and support office in Cyberjaya
